Data Deletion
You can remove your data from Mango Pop at any time. Your actual Gmail messages always remain in Google unless you delete them there.
Option 1: Disconnect a Gmail account
In the app, go to Settings → Accounts and disconnect the Gmail account you no longer want to use. This immediately:
- Deletes the cached messages, threads, and metadata for that account.
- Deletes the stored OAuth refresh token.
- Stops all future syncing for that account.
Your original Gmail data is untouched because we never moved it out of Google.
Option 2: Revoke access in Google
You can also revoke Mango Pop's access from your Google Account at any time:
- Go to myaccount.google.com → Security → Third-party apps.
- Find Mango Pop and choose "Remove access."
Revoking access prevents us from syncing, but you should still disconnect the account in our app to remove cached data from our systems.
Option 3: Request full account deletion
To delete your entire Mango Pop account and all data:
- Disconnect every Gmail account in the app.
- Email hello@mail.mangopop.email from the email address associated with your account and ask for account deletion.
We will confirm receipt and remove your user record, preferences, and any remaining cached data within 30 days. Some system logs may be retained for a short period for security and debugging.
What we cannot delete
We cannot delete email that lives in your Gmail account. Only Google and you can do that. If you want your mail gone entirely, delete it in Gmail after disconnecting us.
